    Description

    1926 Sesquicentennial Nickel Medal. These medals were released at the International Exposition held in Philadelphia in the year 1926. In 1926 the fair was held to celebrate the 150th year anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.  These tokens/medals were struck in the mint exhibit. Medal designed by Albin Polasek. On obverse is Washington bust and reverese is Lady Liberty riding a flying Pegasus with torch in hand upraised.
