1889 Paris Exhibition Souvenir Charm Bracelet
I am pleased to offer for your consideration an antique French metal souvenir charm bracelet from the Exposition Universelle de Paris 1889. Beautifully detailed lace panels attached to one another by an upper and lower ring decorated with floral-like front; hook closure; farthest portion of hook closure to link that attaches the metal links to which the charm is attached measures approximately 6-1/2"; the substantial metal links add an approximately 1-1/2" to total length, allowing adjustment for perfect fit for various sized wrists.
The attached charm, approximately 1" in diameter, is two sided with a wonderfully detailed image to commemorate the completion of the Eiffel Tower at the 1889 Paris Exposition which stands opposite the Trocadéro, with the reverse side portraying a delightful image of the
Palais du Trocadéro, an elaborate palace that was originally constructed for the previous Universelle Exposition in Paris in 1878.
This antique bracelet is in good condition for its advanced age of 130+ years, with some significant characteristic oxidation including the attached charm.  Sold "as is".
