    Description

    French Mortar 1680  Mantua's range of period weapon kits all feature quality hardwood, complete with brass, metal and wood fittings. The wood is all laser cut for accurate assembly and the manual is clear and detailed with comprehensive illustrations. The kits are supplied with a wooden display base complete with a brass engraved nameplate. These static models make excellent display pieces.  This model of a french fortress mortar was recostructed from original plans. The large caliber, squat & short range barrel could fire explosive balls, loaded with stones, nails & scrap iron.  Scale 1:17  Base dimensions 4" x 8"
