From a Connecticut Estate Auction comes this
Rare c1901 COLUMBIA GRAND WAX RECORD #1591 “DAY DREAMS” in its original padded circular box with its original title slip.
As shown, both the cylinder record and box are both in excellent condition with what is probably its original cotton stuffing inside the record.
I have no way to play this but, given its excellent condition, it should certainly play fine. It has a 4 3/4” diameter opening and is probably the largest wax record commercially made. Given its size and composition, Columbia put an illustrated warning on the cover showing how to safely remove the cylinder from its case.
