    Description

This 50 Thai baht banknote is part of the series of banknotes that highlight the contributions of the Chakri dynasty to the development of agriculture, science, finance, and religion. Its obverse side shows the portrait of King Bhumibol the Great, also known as Rama IX, in a field marshals uniform. Its reverse side depicts Rama IV, the monarch who ushered in many scientific and technological advancements to Thailand, sitting with the Phra Pathom Chedi, a telescope, and a celestial globe. Because it is made of polymer, the note does not have a security thread. However, it has a Rama IX watermark. Its dimensions are 144 mm by 72 mm. This note is in uncirculated condition and its specifications have been verified by Banknote World experts.
