    Description

The Thailand 500 Baht banknote was issued by the Government of Thailand in 2017 to commemorate King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The obverse of the purple banknote features the Royal Garuda emblem and Bhumibol Adulyadej wearing the Royal House of Chakri gown. The back of the paper bill depicts the Royal Garuda emblem, Bhumibol Adulyadej pointing to a map on an easel, kneeling to irrigate crops with a water can, wearing a camera strap, and sports coat, making an offering of rice, and a boat. The banknote measures 156 x 72 mm in size and bears a holographic stripe, a 4-mm wide green-to-gold RollingStar Cube windowed security thread with a demetalized 500 and Thai text. It also carries a watermark that reflects Rama IX and an electrotype Thai text. This Thailand 500 Baht banknote is in uncirculated condition.
