    Description

    Trade card of "Famous," the great outfitters, and the largest establishment of its kind in the world. The theme of the float that was placed in the 1884 St. Louis trade procession by the Famous store was "All Nations Paying Tribute" Tribute to Famous, that is. The float itself is shown on the card, the banners proclaiming "All Nations Brining Goods to Famous." Reverse gas a copy of an article in the St. Louis Globe Democrat of September 15, 1884, titled "An Exposition Note." 3 1/4" X 5 1/8" Unusual.
