Wood Ship Kit#1119 Bomb Ketch 3/16" Scale by Marine Model Co. early 60's Kit. Thinning out my stash & this is an old kit with a  faded, yellowed, stained original box, even the 2 page plans are really yellowed, see photos. The kit was shelf worn & old when I bought it at the hobby shop in the early 70's. The kit is complete as I bought it and look at photos as to what you are getting as is. It is 3/16" Scale so the completed model comes out to 22" Length & 20" high a nice size. The  name of the ship is "LIONS WHELP" & the kit was made by Marine Model Co. in the late 50's with the plans being dated drawn in March 1952 & revised in April 1957. The kit has never been started altho the hull is very smooth, is this the way the kit hulls were in the 50's ? The parts fitting list has over 100 fittings & there are also deadeyes, bullseyes, & blocks on top of those fittings including line for all the rigging. The kit has a base with 2 sets of brass pedestals as you can see in the pictures. I think I bought the extra set of brass pedestals & threw them in the box over 50 years ago for the time when I was going to build the ship but never got around to doing it. I do have to say that this kit comes with a lot of fittings (a lot) compared to a lot of old kits I have seen. I won't say it is rare but when was the last time you saw this kit for sale ?
