    Description

    This is an original honorable discharge chevron that was issued to US enlisted troops at the end of WW1 to show that they were not deserters trying to sneak back home. Officers were required to purchase the honorable discharge chevrons for their uniforms. Those chevrons were usually embroidered, but some officers just bought the standard issue chevrons, so these are good for both.
